Welcome to the POP Conference 2011

What is POP and who goes?
The Post Graduate Occupational Psychology Conference, which has been running successfully since 2004 is the ultimate professional development conference.

The conference is tailored towards the interests and needs of MSc students, graduates and practitioners from the field of Occupational Psychology and related areas (HR and Management Consultancy).

River Avon

The conference provides an excellent opportunity to catch up on the latest occupational psychology research, listen to inspiring speeches from high profile key note speakers, develop essential work- related skills, network and meet potential employers.

Why is POP so popular?

Year after year, the POP Conference planning committee invests time and energy to ensure that the event has 'something for everyone' and that it is as colourful and interesting as possible. Feedback from past conferences indicates that delegates find the conference enjoyable, inspiring and motivating.

This year the event will take place at the Holiday Inn Stratford-upon-Avon which is situated in the heart of one of England's most famous and picturesque towns.

'I found the POP conference to be value for money. It is a great place to learn, make contacts and to have some fun. The job fair was particularly useful. It not only gave me some ideas for where to look in terms of finding Occupational Psychology relevant jobs, but I also gained a 3 month internship with an Occupational Psychology Consultancy, that I otherwise would not have heard about. I now feel more equiped to apply for Occupational Psychology roles that will in turn give me the experience I need to become Chartered'.
Lauraine Mann, Goldsmiths,2008-2009

  • Binna Kandola OBE "Future business challenges and how you can contribute as psychologists"
  • Fiona Patterson: "From waitressing to Whitehall: Occupational psychology in a changing world"
